DETERMINATION
The Minister’s decision not to renew the applicant’s medical certificate is confirmed.
REASONS FOR THE DETERMINATION
Refusal to renew a medical certificate — The appropriate specialists from Transport Canada are of the opinion that the applicant is definitely a person with epilepsy. Even though this would fortunately appear to be well controlled with medication, there is still a risk of breakthrough seizures. Based on this evidence, the Minister of Transport’s decision not to renew the applicant’s medical certificate is confirmed.
